What is a Poker Run?

A Poker Run is an organized event using a motorcycle or car, where participants travel over a predestined route, and, at predestined stops on the route, draw playing cards. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. Prizes are awarded for the best hand.

Do I need a motorcycle to participate?

No. In Previous years we have had several people go on the run in their cars.

What if it rains?

A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, August 29, 2010.

Can I pre-register?

Yes. The rider’s pre-registration fee is $15.00 per rider / $10.00 per passenger, and must be received by Monday, August 16,2010. You can mail your registration form to the following address:

What time does it start/first bike out?

The first group to leave will be at 11am, the last group will leave by noon.

How much do Chip Books cost?

$20.00 each

Do I have to go to all of the stops in the book to be eligible to win?

No. Just complete as much of the book as you can.

How do I know how many points each chip is worth?

On the morning of the Poker Run, the point value of each chip will be determined randomly.

When will the winner be announced?

The winner will be announced after we return from the Poker Run, at approximately 6pm.

Do I have to buy/purchase something at every stop?

You do not need to purchase anything at the stops in order to draw your chip. However it is appreciated to support our participating establishments

Do I have to be present to win?

No. If you cannot make it to the Poker Run, you can mail your book to the following address before August 16, 2010:

Where does the money go?

All of the proceeds from the 2010 Chip Run and Poker Run will be donated to LifeLine Pilots

How many people participated in previous years?

In 2007, FOMT had approximately 75 registered riders/passengers.
In 2008, there were over 100 registered riders/passengers, 85 of which also participated in our Chip Run.
In 2009, there were 128 registered riders/passengers, 78 of which also participated in our Chip Run
